Terms of Service

By using Chess2Story ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

Chess2Story is a content-generation tool that turns chess games into narrative stories, comic books, coach reviews, and audio recordings. Generation uses third-party large language models and image models; output quality is best-effort and may vary.

Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
• You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity under your account.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or applicable law.

Payments and refunds

• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• One-off generation purchases are final once content has been generated. If a generation fails server-side, we will refund or retry at our discretion — contact support@chess2story.com.
• Print-on-demand orders are fulfilled by Lulu and are subject to their refund and shipping policies. Defective or damaged books will be replaced at no cost.

Your content

• You retain ownership of the chess games you submit (PGN, titles, descriptions). You grant us a non-exclusive licence to process and store them as needed to provide the Service.
• You may use generated stories, comics, coach reviews, and audio for personal and non-commercial purposes. Commercial reuse — including reselling, embedding in paid products, or training other models — requires written permission. Email support@chess2story.com.
• Do not submit games or text containing material you do not have the right to share, or that violates the rights of others (defamation, harassment, IP infringement).

AI-generated output

Generation pipelines use machine-learning models that can produce inaccurate, repetitive, or unintended output. We do not warrant the accuracy of generated content. Do not rely on coach reviews as professional chess instruction.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Probe, scan, scrape, or stress-test the Service in ways that degrade performance for others.
• Use the Service to generate content depicting real, named persons in unlawful, defamatory, or harassing scenarios.
• Resell, redistribute, or build derivative services on top of the Service's output without permission.
• Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract our prompts or models.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) USD 50.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be flagged on this page and via email if you have an active account. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
